Mara is a dual American and German citizen living in London.  Having graduated from the BRIT School of performing arts, Mara trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in theatre, screen, radio and devising, receiving her BA in acting (Hons). She gained a wide range of skills that cover Jacobean to Modern theatre. Her Highlights include learning classical technical approaches of Voice from the RSC’s Kate Godfrey, devising new work with BBC Happy Valley star George Costigan, and creating children's audiobooks with Mark Silk who played Aks Moe in Star Wars. 

As a mixed race, multi-cultural actor she brings a compelling personal understanding to the nuances of identity.

Her recent professional credits include Careen - The true history of Bonnie and Clyde in the role of Bonnie Parker and Ensemble, Directed by George Costigan at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, as well as dancing in the opening act of The BRIT Awards. 

Mara has also performed as Alice in Closer, directed by Vik Sivalingam, as Obedience in Holy Day, directed by Lise Olsen, and as Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, directed by Louise Papillon.  For a more complete list of recent acting credits see bellow.
